AI Generation Credits & Model Workflows

By ArtCraft Tools ยท Reviewed November 5, 2026

AI generation uses application credits. The workspace quote depends on the model, output settings and number of jobs. Review that quote immediately before submitting. Local FilmCraft and PhotoCraft editing and export do not use generation credits.

How a generation charge works

  1. Choose the available model, duration or image settings and output count.
  2. Review the displayed total quote. Credits are reserved when you submit.
  3. Each accepted job is tracked individually. Multiple-output batches can have separate success and failure states.
  4. Failed or cancelled jobs reported to the application return their reserved credits. A job still marked pending has not necessarily failed.

Measured examples, not fixed price promises

On November 5, 2026, two GPT Image 2 outputs displayed a total quote of 38 credits. A tested layer-decomposition job reserved 72 credits and settled at 9 credits for two returned layers. Motion Graphics currently quotes one credit per five seconds, so its ten-second test cost two credits. Different settings can change the quote.

No quality ranking is asserted between model families. We have not run a controlled comparison of every model. See the pricing page for current purchase options and the workspace for the cost of a particular job.
