How to Export MP4 with FilmCraft
By ArtCraft Tools · Reviewed November 5, 2026
FilmCraft is a free browser video editor. You can import media, work on a timeline, save a project locally and export video without signing in. AI generation elsewhere on ArtCraft Tools uses a separate credit balance.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the editor and import a supported media file, or create a simple sequence.
- Place media on the timeline, adjust the edit and preview playback.
- Save a local project copy so you can reopen the edit later.
- Export an MP4 and play the downloaded file to confirm the result.
Check the downloaded export
Open the MP4 in a media player and confirm playback, duration, picture and audio where present. If a particular file does not decode, try a shorter compatible input and keep your source file unchanged.
Before you rely on the result
- Account. Local editing, saving and exporting do not require sign-in.
- Tested export. A 320 × 180 sequence exported as an MP4 lasting approximately 1.002 seconds and was played back successfully.
- Project persistence. Local saved results use browser storage. Download a backup; clearing browser data can remove local copies.
- Limits. Codec support, memory use and export speed depend on the browser, device and input. This small export test does not certify every long-form project.
